Arjan and Ishan at HOPE's School,
Thoraipakkam - April 2005

Two youngsters - Arjan Sethi and Ishaan Prakash - volunteered to spend time with the students of HOPE's Nursery & Primary School at Thoraipakkam between April 4th and 12th , 2005. Themselves students, they are caring, affectionate and sociable youngsters with a heart to serve. They involved themselves in all the activities of the school.

While at the school, Arjan and Ishaan conducted games for all the students, taught rhymes to the Kindergarten children, corrected test papers and even took reading, recitation and dictation tests. Children of the 3rd and 4th standards of the School - a sprighty, energetic lot - enjoyed games like pyramid building, carom, memory game and chess with their new friends.

The two boys took time off to visit HOPE's projects in Pudupattinam and Kalpakkam – Tsunami affected villages along the Tamil Nadu coast. HOPE runs a Nursery School and a Clinic giving free treatment to benefit the villagers in the area.

Before parting, the grateful children treated the youngsters to a small party on April 12th. Children from each of the classes presented an item to entertain the two. Nivetha and Samson of U.K.G presented both Arjan & Ishaan with a memento - a token of the children's love. The children then enjoyed the sweets the boys had got for them.
