A Face-Lift for the Paediatric Ward
at GHTM, Thambaram - April 2005
The HOPE Foundation Paediatric Ward at Goverment Hospital for Thoracic Medicine (GHTM), Tambaram received a facelift in the month of April 2005. The workers on contract repainted the Ward and put up colorful new curtain, posters, bed sheets and bedspreads and pillow covers. In short, they converted the Ward to a colorful little sanctuary for the Children there.

tion April 28th , 2005 in the Pediatric Ward to mark the Face-Lift Operation. Ms. Arathi, Cine artist, the Chief Guest for the occasion. Isumi, Project Manager, ITECH, Dr. Manoharan, Ms. Sarah – both from I TECH, and Mr. Santhosh Peter Kagoo, Project Co-ordinator (HOPE's PATH Project) were the other dignitaries present on the occasion.
After the inauguration, Ms. Arathi spent time interacting with the residents at the ward – all of them, children between. Mr. Bharani - choreographer – entertained the group with his histrionics along with his crew in tow. Much enthused, the children themselves came forward to entertain the guests with their songs and nursery rhymes.
