Confident mothers raise confident children. Confident children grow up to become productive citizens and lead their people to growth and glory. A woman feels confident when she is empowered, when she has the skills and opportunities to earn a livelihood.

HOPE Foundation started the Tailoring Training Centre at Moolakothalam Slum, Chennai to provide a means of livelihood for the local women, primarily the housewives. It began operation from 2000.

Most of the women and girls finishing the course from the center, either join cloth factories or start Tailoring Shops, functioning from their homes.
