Mr. K. Vijayakumar
Program Coordinator, Tuberculosis Control Program
Mr. Vijaykumar has shown the grit and vision in making HOPE Foundation’s TB Control program a successful one. Since 2000, Mr. Kumar has systemically nurtured the Program, so much so that his expertise is sought after for similar Programs in fresh sites.
As the Program Coordinator, he is responsible for:
- Registering TB cases in the designated area
- Administering Medication the DOTS way
- Following up each case to ensure complete cure
- Reporting and Relationship with District Tuberculosis Control Society
Prior to this, Mr. Kumar worked as a Marketing Executive for Multi Link Services, Chennai, garnering Ads for the classified sections in Indian Express.
Mr. Kumar is an MA in Sociology from Annamalai University. Additionally, he has worked as a Biostatistics Resource and Training Personnel at Christian Medical College, Vellore. He has also participated in the 22nd International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IUATLD) Easter Region Conference, Kathmandu.
Mr. Kumar is a an avid Hockey player spending most of his Sunday evenings playing the game. He has played for the Madras Hockey Team (Inter District match) and Indian Airlines during his heydays.
